A response to comments

I have been scratching my head about some of the comments that I have been reading in response to the short video below.

Such as:

Not everything is a conspiracy…

Well, no this is not really conspiracy theory.

He is reporting what he sees as a fact – either it is correct or it is not.

It is neither theory nor conspiracy.

It is always possible that he is misinterpreting what is happening but he seems fairly close to what I take to be the viewpoint of farmers who may have a different view from liberal, white urbanites.

The following comment, and others that are less polite, are in my mind, preposterous. The guy is making a 30 second video based on what he has heard and people want a scientific paper on it!

“We need to see proof. See an official document photocopy. This video has made it onto a respected paper and from there on to a serious commentator’s show. We need proof NOT unnecessary fretting! “

Commenters talk about “falling into panic”

I do not see any panic on his side.Have you thought there might be some projection on your part?

My main battle these days is against reductionistic, binary thinking, if not the lack of logical thinking

As those who have followed my blog for some time I am 100% certain of abrupt climate change. But I am also convinced that there are many predicaments (things that have no “solutions”).

In “normal” times I might support policies such as the following but these are far from normal times. In the midst of a “COVID” pandemic with supply chain disruptions and many signs of catastrophe ahead this is a recipe for disaster.

But disaster is already here and the Biden administration is making sure it happened.

Reality is a very messy affair and does not always fit into the neat mental constructs people create for themselves.

There may be some hype in the video comments and things may not be EXACTLY as he says but my position is far closer to his perspective than some of the comments.

The Biden administration will pay farmers more money not to farm

The goal is to add 4 million acres of farmland to the Conservation Reserve Program, which takes land out of production to blunt agriculture’s environmental impact.

The Biden administration announced on Wednesday that it would expand a program that pays farmers to leave land fallow, part of a broader, government-wide effort to cut greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030. The new initiative will incentivize farmers to take land out of production by raising rental rates and incentive payments.

BIDEN VOWS TO PAY FARMERS TO PLANT COVER CROPS AND PUT LAND IN CONSERVATION

The government will help farmers mitigate climate change by paying them to “put their land in conservation” and plant cover crops, said President-elect Biden, providing some details on his campaign call to offset greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture. The sector accounts for roughly 10% of emissions nationwide.

Climate change is among four priorities for Biden during the transition, along with the pandemic, economic recovery and racial equity. The Biden-Harris transition team describes climate change as an existential threat and says the new administration will lead a global effort “to get every major country to ramp up the ambition of their domestic climate targets.”

There are lots of people pointing to near-term disaster.

This guy thinks we are headed for an Ice Age.  In this ideological age that means that EVERYTHING he says is ipso facto false.

Not necessarily.

BRACE FOR IMPACT: “ABOUT TO GET MUCH WORSE.”

We are staring down the barrel of a confluence of several scenarios–each of which individually is a significant, life-changing event–but which are together conspiring is a dangerous and incendiary situation: food shortages, inflation, and a breakdown of the supply chain. A new media narrative today acknowledges food shortages, and blames animal agriculture, indicating we are reaching an inflection point in the collapse. Expect things to accelerate from here. Let’s have a conversation tonight about where we are, where we’re heading, and how to prepare.

PREPARE FOR FOOD SHORTAGES – BREED THESE NOW FOR YOUR LIVESTOCK AND SURVIVAL – EMERGENCY FOOD SOURCES

WARNING: ECONOMIC COLLAPSE TRIGGERING WAVES OF ANGER IN SOCIETY – GET READY FOR RIOTS AND UNREST

For the entire 10 years I have been producing this blog I have been warning of a situation like this.

It is turning out very different and much worse than I thought.

I never foresaw a fake COVID pandemic “solved” with a “vaccine” that kills and the Great Reset which foresees all of us either dying or becoming slaves.

Rather than be quick to comment I would counsel doing some research of your own outside your pet areas. You could start by searching on the term “the Great Reset” on this blog.

Then you could be disabused of the quaint notion that the Biden administration has your (and the planet’s best interests at heart.

If I was in a position to, and I was living under these circumstances, I would be trying to organise some preparations and get out of the cities to somewhere you can grow food.

Action is the best antidote to despair.

I would not be engaging in angry denial.

  1. Thanks to Big Ag, Big Pharma, Big Banks, and corporate owned Big Media the truth is obscured because this works to their advantage. Things will not get better until we have total governmental and political transparency and a secure vote – hand counted paper ballots, and strict voter ID. But sadly, as long as Julian Assange lies dying in solitary, we know that the status quo has not changed.

  2. The Biden admin has a goal to take up 4 million acres of US farmland and let it “go idle” to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. God, that sounds nuts when we already have severe drought and crop shortages!
But wait a minute here. There are 915 million acres of farmland in the US. Setting 4M of it (less than half of 1%) to “idle mode” to “help the climate” is code speak for a whole different agenda. There are 10’s of millions of acres that are going to be completely toast this year. This really sounds like a ploy to save at least some farmers from total financial ruin, and it’s being sold to the public as a “climate initiative”.
Either way though, the guys advice to start growing your own stuff is something we all should do.
