BREAKING NEWS: KAKHOVKA DAM ON DNIEPR RIVER DESTROYED
It became known about a possible strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) struck at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station (HPP), the Telegram channel “Russian Spring Military Korps” (“RV”) reported.
According to military correspondents, the water level downstream of the Dnieper began to rise. There is no official confirmation of information and damage at the moment.
In October 2022, the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with HIMARS missiles on the Kakhovskaya HPP did not lead to serious damage at the facility. The shelling damage from October 23 to 24 did not become critical, and the power plant continued to work.
Earlier it became known that the Ukrainian military changed the nature of the shelling of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, starting to attack the station and approaches to it from a large-caliber sniper rifle. The commander of the unit of the Armed Forces (AF) of Russia , guarding the hydroelectric power station, admitted that the caliber of this rifle could be of foreign production.

Night attacks on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station (HPP) led to the destruction of the valves, due to which water began to uncontrollably be discharged downstream. This was announced by the mayor of Novaya Kakhovka Vladimir Leontiev , writes TASS .
He confirmed that the Ukrainian troops struck the object on the night of June 5-6. “At about 02:00, a number of numerous strikes were carried out on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, which destroyed the shonors, this is what the common people call valves,” the authorities specified.
As a result, water from the Kakhovka reservoir began to uncontrollably be discharged downstream, Leontyev specified. At the same time, there are no details about the destruction of the valves yet.
The incident became known from Telegram channels, which spoke about the increase in the water level in the Dnieper. Later, a source in power structures said that the dam collapsed due to damage.
