Focusing on climate change denier, Piers Corbyn
This is more of a thought experiment than anything else.
I am not trying to persuade anyone of anything, something that is extremely rare in this day and age. No doubt I have been written off as a nutter by many (and certainly I have by that husband-and-wife team in Vermont, the self-appointed purveyors of everything we need to know).
For well over 30 years I have accepted the narrative about climate change/ global warming. Over the last 10 years I have come to identify a lot of the fraud perpetrated by the IPCC, NASA and others.
In the past 2 years there have been so many lies that I have now to question everything.
EVERYTHING, absolutely everything.
Over the past 24 hours a segment from an RT interview with climate change sceptic and brother of ex-Labour Party leader, Jeremy, Piers Corbyn has been making the rounds.
Mr. Corbyn is someone who I have paid scant attention to, other than notice that he is often at demonstrations and seems to have been signalled out for arrest. If you look on the Net he would appear to be the Devil Incarnate but he does not seem to be anything like this.
In fact, one thing that seems not to occur to our totalitarian leaders is the truth that if you want someone with an inconvenient viewpoint the best way to deal with it is to just ignore them.

So, just another person with a loud opinion, no different from anything else I have heard.
Is there any evidence for what he claims?
As I have been saying I have been looking for credible evidence for the claims of the sceptics but so far all I have found are loud statements with little to back them up.
So once again, I went looking and found this.

A SUMMER OF DECEIT – FAKE GLOBAL WARMING PROPAGANDA.
The crazy climate alarmist hysteria – and fake data claiming ‘alarming record heat’ in UK – led Weather Action and LetTheUkLive to organise a March for more CO2 23 July. This was a great success.
The associated leaflet exposing the fact that Man-Made Climate Change Does not exist was posted in all forecast access boxes and included in USA forecast and comment.
It should be noted that none of the claimed UK ‘record heat’ events of summer 2022 were in reliable long data sets outside of recently exacerbated urban heat islands and recently expanded tarmac laden concretised airports and airstrips. ALL the BBC-MetOffice climate alarm reports were denied by nearby more reliable less urban-effect distorted sites.
The so-called 38.7C ‘record heat’ on 25 July 2019 in Cambridge University Botanic Garden (CUBG) was equally fake and denied by nearby longer more reliable data sets not subject to effects of recent new-build to the South/East of the CUBG site.

Putting Piers Corbyn to the test
I find his web pages and forecasts hard to read, and even harder to accept any more, because in my opinion, he presents them like a carnival barker with overuse of exclamation points, bright colors, over bolded texts, random font changes, and fantastic claims. It tends to set off my BS meter like some tabloid newspapers do
PREDICTING THE WEATHER WITH THE SUN?
So, can Piers Corbyn use the sun to predict the weather using the sun as he claims?
Honestly, I don’t know but I remain doubtful.
Perhaps we can learn from what we are being told from on-high what we SHOULD believe?
They are telling us that sunspots have a minimal influence on our weather, as in this item from the NZ media.
The Sun is a highly active and complicated body. Its behaviour does change over time and this can affect our climate. But these impacts are much smaller than those caused by our burning of fossil fuels and, crucially, they do not build up over time.
Sunspots have been observed continuously since 1609, although their cyclical variation was not noticed until much later. At the peak of the cycle, about 0.1 per cent more solar energy reaches the Earth, which can increase global average temperatures by 0.05-0.1℃.
Now, this was interesting – from NASA itself
Is the Sun causing global warming?
No. The Sun can influence Earth’s climate, but it isn’t responsible for the warming trend we’ve seen over recent decades. The Sun is a giver of life; it helps keep the planet warm enough for us to survive. We know subtle changes in Earth’s orbit around the Sun are responsible for the comings and goings of the ice ages. But the warming we’ve seen in recent decades is too rapid to be linked to changes in Earth’s orbit and too large to be caused by solar activity.
So, the Sun is not responsible for global warming because the Sun is a giver of life; it helps keep the planet warm enough for us to survive?!

CARBON DIOXIDE – DANGEROUS POLLUTANT OR GIVER OF LIFE?
It reminded me of another discussion. Mike Adams say that CO2 is being described as a “pollutant” and that it is one of the most important givers of life.
When I saw that I thought it was preposterous.
How could they say that?!
Everyone who has the most basic knowledge of biology knows about photosynthesis and the essential role carbon dioxide plays in maintaining life.
But I went looking and indeed, that was what they are saying! I found this on a climate change website.
Is CO2 a pollutant?
“When considering the legal definition of “air pollutants” and body of scientific evidence, it becomes clear that CO2 meets the definition and poses a significant threat to public health and welfare.”
Another argument of the climate change deniers is that carbon dioxide is a trace gas and how can a gas that represents such a small part of the atmosphere be responsible for such a huge thing as global warming.
Never mind that CO2, a trace gas, is the leading giver of life (by that metric, nitrogen should be the most important gas in maintaining life – in fact, if inhaled pure it is a killer.
I have to presume that these people will accept that another trace gas, ozone (I have to presume it is a trace gas, or its it an important constituent of the upper atmosphere – I could not find out) is responsible for a catastrophic increase of deadly ultra-violet radiation.
So, maybe the amount in the atmosphere is not the most important part of the equation. I have always known about the Greemhouse Effect when it comes to hothouse planet, Venus,- almost completely made up of carbon dioxide with small doses of nitrogen and clouds of sulfuric acid. That compared with carbon dioxide on Earth – (0.04%).
Not exactly commensurate.
However, there is a rapid increase in CO2 in the atmosphere and there seems to be a correllation between that and the warming of the atmosphere (unless you take the preposterous notion that the atmosphere is cooling!
Carbon dioxide now more than 50% higher than pre-industrial levels
Carbon dioxide measured at NOAA’s Mauna Loa Atmospheric Baseline Observatory peaked for 2022 at 421 parts per million in May, pushing the atmosphere further into territory not seen for millions of years, scientists from NOAA and Scripps Institution of Oceanographyoffsite link at the University of California San Diego announced today.
NOAA’s measurements of carbon dioxide at the mountaintop observatory on Hawaii’s Big Island averaged 420.99 parts per million (ppm), an increase of 1.8 ppm over 2021. Scientists at Scripps, which maintains an independent record, calculated a monthly average of 420.78 ppm.
“The science is irrefutable: humans are altering our climate in ways that our economy and our infrastructure must adapt to,” said NOAA Administrator Rick Spinrad, Ph.D. “We can see the impacts of climate change around us every day. The relentless increase of carbon dioxide measured at Mauna Loa is a stark reminder that we need to take urgent, serious steps to become a more Climate Ready Nation.”
FAKING IT
One area where I tend to agree with Mr. Corbyn is over fraud when it comes to reporting of weather temperature by the meterological authorities.

That is because I have seen it for myself. Going back to 2018 I had a season recording temperatures from my home and found that my measurements were routinely up to 4 degrees Celsius WARMER than what was being reported by the MetOffice. When I ran this past them they confirmed my figures and confirmed that the figures they gave out were based on computer modelling and what they expected.
Same phenomenon – different results.
ARCTIC SEA ICE
Another area where I have seen rampant fraud in an area that I am very familiar with is in Arctic sea ice extent.
A careful look at official data shows that the Arctic ice is in a parlous state and the people who tell us what we should believe keep telling us that the situation is better than what it actually is by showing us only the sea ice extent.
Sam Carana has just come out with an article that questions this and asks if in fact we are seeing a blue sea event.
Blue Ocean Event 2022?
According to many, a Blue Ocean Event starts once Arctic sea ice extent falls below 1 million km².
