Moscow has given the Russian Hmeimim air base in Latakia to Iran for supplying Hezbollah with weapons and ammunition, Israeli media reports.

The move has caused great anger in Israel as Russia protects with its anti-aircraft systems, the air base and by extension the Iranian planes that land.

It is noteworthy that the transfer of weapons took place a day before the speech-declaration of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah. Yet another indication of imminent Hezbollah involvement.

At the same time, Syrian sources say thousands of Iranian-backed militias have arrived in southern Lebanon in the past week, while tens of thousands remain inside Syria near the border with Lebanon and the Golan Heights.

Under the protection of Russia, Hezbollah’s supply from Iran says the Israelis!

According to the Israelis, a MahanAir Airbus A340-313 took off from Tehran’s Mehrabed Airport and landed at the Russian Aerospace Forces’ Hmeimim Air Base in Latakia, Syria.

The Israelis note that the Russian Air Force has sole control of the area as well as the port, which appears to provide a safe haven for Revolutionary Guards aiding Hezbollah.

The plane, according to Israeli information, was carrying about five tons of weapons.

“Compared to previous IRGC missions, this time the number of pallets loaded onto the plane was less, about half,” said an Israeli source at Mehrabad airport.

According to the same source, “the pallets arrived on the plane accompanied by guards.” One hypothesis is that they included MANPADS anti-aircraft systems.

We recall that on October 21, Israel bombed the runways at Damascus and Aleppo airports in order to prevent further arms shipments via Mahan Air from Iran.

Hizbullah combined kamikaze drone and missile attack

Earlier, Hezbollah stepped up its attacks on Israel by carrying out a combined rocket and drone kamikaze attack on Safed and other villages in northern Israel.

Reports indicate that Iranian kamikaze drones were used against the IDF Northern Command Headquarters while the naval base near Naqoura was also hit.

The IDF’s elite force for Hezbollah is on standby: The Commando Brigade

The IDF Commando Brigade is on heightened alert on the border with Lebanon for a rapid deployment against Hezbollah, Israeli sources say.

If a large-scale battle breaks out on the northern front, Israel’s top elite force will be mobilized for major military operations against Hezbollah.

Meanwhile, Israeli aircraft and artillery forces are also on alert for an immediate response to any attack by Hezbollah, the Air Force said.

Earlier, IDF Chief Herzi Halevi warned that less than 50% of Israel’s air force is deployed in Gaza and can quickly operate in other war zones.

However, sending Israeli commandos to Lebanon would transform the dynamics of the current conflict.

The Commando Brigade is armed with massive firepower and can strike Hezbollah fighters and targets deep in Lebanon. Col. Coby Heller, former commander of the Brigade, said the elite force can mount a massive response to enemy raids on Israel.

The IDF commandos formed an excellent partnership with the Air Force to enable action in hostile territory, Heller said.

The Commando Brigade trained extensively overseas to enhance its ability to operate in unfamiliar locations. The forces also practiced a raid into Hezbollah’s heartland with more than 1,000 troops.

At the same time, the Brigade has a rapid intervention capability in the event of an infiltration from Lebanon.

Hezbollah is not fully aware of the enormous capabilities that the IDF’s rapid reaction units have developed, Col. Heller said.

If a major war breaks out, the Commando Brigade will work alongside the IDF’s secretive “Ghost” Unit to neutralize Hezbollah threats.

During a previous war exercise, the Air Force simulated attacks against 3,000 Hezbollah targets in one day.
