Israel Levels Gaza With Bunker Buster Bombs: Heaviest Bombardment Since War Began – Hamas Rocket Storm

Israel: “The ground operation is expanding”

The heaviest shelling since the start of the war is underway in the northern Gaza Strip with Israelis being pounded by land, air and sea, in another sign that a massive ground invasion may be very close.

Israel is hitting Islamist positions in Gaza with Bunker Buster bombs in an attempt to destroy Hamas’ network of underground bunkers.

Internet and communication services have been completely disrupted in the north and severely restricted in the southern part of the Strip.

The shelling is ” the heaviest since the start of the war on October 7,” Hamas said, accusing Israel of “preparing for massacres.” Journalists in the area make the same observation.

The Hamas government has announced that telecommunications and the Internet have been disrupted in the Palestinian enclave.

Netblocks, an organization that monitors cyber security and Internet access around the world, reported a “collapse” of connections in the Gaza Strip.

Israel: Expanding business tonight!

The IDF spokesman said that Israeli forces will expand ground operations inside the Gaza Strip tonight.

“In the last few hours we have increased the attacks in Gaza. The Air Force widely attacks underground targets and terrorist infrastructure.

Following on from the offensive activity we have carried out over the past few days, ground forces are expanding ground activity this afternoon.

The IDF is working vigorously in all dimensions to achieve the objectives of the war” was the comment of the spokesman of the Israeli army, Daniel Hagari.

Biden was briefed

With Israel’s operations in Gaza ongoing and intensified in recent hours, the White House announced that President Joe Biden was briefed by members of the National Security Council on the developments.

According to CNN, in the meantime, the Israeli bombardments are being carried out by tanks located near the border with Gaza, while warships are also operating from the sea.

Rocket storm from Hamas

And the Palestinians, for their part, are attempting to respond, as sirens sound in Ashdod and Ashkelon, while rockets are fired toward Tel Aviv.

“Fire of rockets towards the occupied territories (including Israel) in response to the massacres of (Palestinian) civilians” refers to the post of the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades on the Telegram platform.

It is worth noting that yesterday, Hamas carried out one of the largest rocket attacks in Tel Aviv.

The rockets fired by Hamas outnumbered the interceptors fired by Israel’s Iron Dome air defense systems. Then some of the rockets hit the city.

One mistake or provocation is enough: US has surrounded Iran with colossal military forces – Red alert in all branches of Iranian ED

World peace hangs by a thread

Iran’s Supreme Military Command has ordered the Army to be put on general alert and to begin large-scale exercises for all branches of the country’s Armed Forces.

The US continues to encircle Iran by deploying colossal forces in the Mediterranean, the Red Sea and the Gulf of Oman.

Iran is preparing for a generalized conflagration in the region, something about which B. Putin warned yesterday, saying that “the conflict can expand outside the Middle East”.

There are several “Hawks” in the US and Israel who see the US military build-up as a unique opportunity to strike Iran here and now. No one knows if in the future Israel will have the West, NATO and the USA on its side as it does now…

A mistake or a provocation is enough…

Iran has announced the start of large-scale military exercises codenamed Ektadar next week. This was broadcast by the Voice of Israel radio station.

According to the publication, all branches of the Armed Forces will participate in the exercises: Air Force, Army, Navy, Missile Forces, the Iranian Guard Corps, etc.

At the same time, there is no doubt that such large-scale exercises are directly related to Tehran’s preparation for the worst-case scenario.

Tehran’s decision to conduct large-scale military exercises can hardly be called unexpected.

The situation in the Middle East is becoming more alarming every day. The United States and its allies, especially Great Britain, continue to concentrate their forces in the Middle East.

Israel intensifies Gaza bombardment as internet and phone services go down

Israel has intensified its bombardment of the beseiged Gaza Strip as internet and mobile communications services collapsed in the Palestinian territory.

An extended series of large explosions on lit up the sky over Gaza City after nightfall on Friday, and an Al Jazeera correspondent said northern Gaza was being pounded by air raids and artillery.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said it had completely lost contact with its operations room in Gaza and all its teams operating on the ground.

Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said Israel increased air raids “in a very significant way” and that ground forces were “expanding their activity” in Gaza.

He told residents of Gaza City to move south on Friday night, as Israeli escalating Israeli attacks battered the strip.

“In the last two hours, we could hear intensive air strikes and intensive artillery shells at the same time, which is something unusual – which means the strength of the fire is much more than in the previous days,” said Al Jazeera’s Safwat Kahlout, reporting from Gaza City.

“Today is the worst in terms of the strength of the Israeli fire, and we can hear some explosions … coming from the sea as well, specifically in the north of the Gaza Strip.

“The air strikes and the artillery shells are intensifying now in the north,” he said.

The Palestinian telecommunication company Jawwal said in a social media post late on Friday that mobile phone and internet services have been shut off.

“We don’t have any internet, we don’t have any kind of signals on our phones, we’ve become totally isolated in the territory,” Al Jazeera Tareq Abu Azzoum reported from Khan Younis in Gaza on Friday. Residents were “terrified and afraid,” he said.

The service outage comes as Palestinians brace for an anticipated Israeli ground invasion of Gaza. Israeli officials have threatened to carry out a ground assault to topple Hamas, the Palestinian armed group that governs the territory. In recent days, Israeli forces have carried out limited raids in Gaza .

Israel has bombed the strip relentlessly since Hamas launched an attack on southern Israel on October 7 that killed more than 1,400 people.

Since that attack Israel has imposed a “complete siege” Gaza, cutting access to food, water, fuel, and electricity for the enclave’s 2.3 million residents who have few options for seeking refuge.

The United Nations warned that “many more will die” as a result of Israel’s ongoing siege of Gaza, which has also caused sewage to flow into the streets.

“People in Gaza are dying; they are not only dying from bombs and strikes: soon many more will die from the consequences of (the) siege imposed on the Gaza Strip,” said Philippe Lazzarini, commissioner general for the UN agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA).

“Basic services are crumbling, medicine is running out, food and water are running out, the streets of Gaza have started overflowing with sewage.”

Israeli war crimes have turned whole region into ‘powder keg’: Iran’s foreign minister

Iran’s foreign minister says continuous Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip have turned the entire region into a “powder keg,” warning that “anything will be possible” if such atrocities continue.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in an interview with the American public radio NPR that was published on Friday. The minister is in New York City to attend an emergency UN General Assembly meeting on Palestine.

The warning comes as the Israeli regime continues bombarding the densely populated Gaza Strip, adding to the miseries of the poor community hit by 17 years of Israeli blockade.

The fatalities in Gaza since October 7, when Israel launched its aerial campaign, has crossed 7,000. The regime has also imposed a total blockade on the region, depriving millions of people there of food, fuel, water and electricity.

The raids started after an unprecedented military offensive, dubbed Al-Aqsa Storm Operation was launched by Hamas-led resistance forces against occupied territories. Palestinians said the attack, in which some 1,400 Israeli forces and settlers were killed, was a response to increased Israeli violence against Palestinians and the desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque by occupiers.

Amir-Abdollahian said the region can’t afford to stay silent as Israel keeps massacring women and children in the strip.

“But you know the situation remains complicated. It’s difficult for our region to tolerate the fact that 7,000 civilians have been killed as the result of the bombardments of the Israeli regime. This is the image that we’re now seeing in the region and because of the continuation of crimes of the Israeli regime, the whole region has been turned into a powder keg.”

The minister said his discussions with Palestinian and Lebanese resistance leaders in recent weeks show they “have their finger on the trigger” and are ready to make their own decisions to act against the Israeli regime and its allies.

Iran’s FM urges UN rights chief to hold Israel accountable over Gaza war crimes

“What I gathered from the plans that they have – they have their finger on the trigger. You know, much more powerful and deeper than what you’ve witnessed. Therefore, I believe that if this situation continues and women and children and civilians are still killed in Gaza and the West Bank, anything will be possible.”

US urged to stop enabling war crimes

Amir-Abdollahian said Iran is continuing its efforts to stop the conflict as soon as possible.

“We don’t really want this conflict to spread out. Actually, we’re advising everybody and encouraging them to move toward the stopping of war crimes as soon as possible.”

He urged the US, who he said is practically running the Israeli war machine, to stop providing unlimited support to the regime and to stop its atrocities.

“We do encourage the US to abandon its absolute total support of the Israeli regime. According to information we have inside the region, both the security and political systems of Israel have totally collapsed,” he said. “Right now, the only thing functional in Israel is their war machine that is also being run and controlled and managed by the US.”

He said Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is motivated to keep the war going, as the end of the war means the end of his own cabinet.

“… if the attacks and the war stop, then he will fall in less than two days.”

‘Hamas has own homegrown capabilities’

Elaborating on Iran’s relationship with Hamas, the Iranian minister said Iran offers political support to Hamas as a resistance movement legally fighting occupation, but the movement acts independently and has its own homegrown military capabilities.

“We do have our political support for the liberation movement so that the occupied territories will be freed. Therefore, our support is only political.”

“They have enough missiles, rockets and drones and can easily get them from anywhere,” he said. “They have whatever it takes to produce their own weapons and they have their own training and that is why they decided themselves to go ahead with this operation.”

‘Hamas ready to release non-military prisoners’

Amir-Abdollahian said his recent discussions with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Qatar shows the group is ready to release non-military captives as they have “no motivation, no reason” to keep them.

However, Amir-Abdollahian said first there needs to be a ceasefire before Hamas can release the non-military captives.

“You know, [Israel is] killing large numbers of civilians and at the same time you expect them to release these people, giving them a free hand in killing them and at the same time tying your own hands? This is not logical …”.

The Iranian minister said that thousands of Palestinians languishing in Israeli jails shouldn’t be forgotten when it comes to releasing non-military prisoners.

“When the time comes for the release of the non-military prisoners then they should not forget that there are 6,000 Palestinian prisoners who are held captive by the Israelis.”

Hamas warns of new massacre as Israel threatens to bomb Gaza’s largest hospital

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has warned of a new Israeli massacre of civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip as the regime threatens to bomb the largest medical complex housing tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians.

Hamas raised the alarm on Friday evening while dismissing as “criminal and dangerous” groundless accusations by the Israeli military about the movement’s use of Dar al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza for military purposes.

The medical complex contains thousands of patients and wounded, and houses more than 40,000 thousand displaced people.

“There is no basis for the claims made by the [the Israeli military] over the presence of Hamas commanders under al-Shifa Hospital,” senior Hamas official Izzat al-Rashaq said in a statement on his Telegram account. “This was part of a series of lies on which Israel builds its narrative.”

Rashaq warned that Israel was using the allegations as a “prelude” to “commit a new massacre bigger than the one on al-Ahli Hospital.”

“We call on world leaders to act to stop the crimes of genocide,” the senior Hamas official added.
