To me, this morning, it seems that the people on the extreme edge of the argument who say this is all a scam and there is no such thing as a virus are akin to climate change denialists (and may be that as well).
Like climate change denialists they may have some valid arguments but they miss the wood for the trees.
Do these people really think that whistleblowers like vanden Bossche are risking their reputations just to pull the wool over our eyes? Probably.
First, Del Bigtree on the controversy.
THE VANDEN BOSSCHE CONTROVERSY
Allegations of ‘astroturfing’ emerged over The HighWire’s coverage of virologist Geert Vanden Bossche and his public plea to halt all #Covid19 vaccination. Del addresses the allegations with a response including important dialogues with RFK Jr. and Dr. Andrew Wakefield.
And then vanden Bossche himself who makes perfect sense to me
Innate immunity is the cornerstone of herd immunity against acute viral infections
Asymptomatic infection fuels spread of more infectious SARS-CoV-2 variants
Why do we always need to learn things the hard way? Summary, key lessons and conclusions
On the other end of the spectrum we have Guy McPherson who argues that covid-19 is going to kill us and in the meantime we should all mask up and follow Fauci’s directives.
Once you have your thesis (that we are all going to die) everything else follows and is just a confirmation of the original thesis.
No room for doubt
He should love what vanden Bossche has to say but probably so taken up with his own voice that he has not noticed.
