A question about methane

A question about methane

“Crusaders will continue to retort that “the science is settled; it is time to act!”. But real science is never settled, nor is scientific truth determined by consensus or political diktats. Agreement with observations is the measure of scientific truth.”   I have been following some of the contributions of NZ author, Ian Wishart where he has shown where there were extreme weather events on a regular basis during a period when both temperatures and CO2 levels were lower and there…

Earth’s Atmospheric CO2 Soars to Highest Level in 4 Million Years

Earth’s Atmospheric CO2 Soars to Highest Level in 4 Million Years

The Defender, 9 June, 2021 New data released Monday showed atmospheric carbon dioxide reached a monthly average of 419 parts per million in May, the maximum reading ever recorded since measurements began 63 years ago and the highest level the planet has experienced in more than 4 million years. Carbon emissions from this year’s wildfires burning in the Arctic Circle have already outstripped 2019’s record.

Carbon emissions from this year’s wildfires burning in the Arctic Circle have already outstripped 2019’s record.

Arctic wildfires emit 35% more CO2 so far in 2020 than for whole of 2019 About 205 megatonnes emitted in June and July alone as Siberia hit by heatwave The Guardian, 31 August, 2020 The amount of carbon dioxide emitted by Arctic wildfires this year is already 35% higher than the figure for the whole of 2019. The latest data, provided by the EU’s Copernicus atmosphere monitoring service, shows that up to 24 August 245 megatonnes of CO2 had been…

Is it true that carbon emissions have fallen with the lockdowns?

Is it true that carbon emissions have fallen with the lockdowns?

Lockdowns trigger dramatic fall in global arbon emissions. Really?? This appeared in the Guardian today: This is the essence of what the article I saying: Carbon dioxide emissions have fallen dramatically since lockdowns were imposed around the world due to the coronavirus crisis, research has shown. Daily emissions of the greenhouse gas plunged 17% by early April compared with 2019 levels, according to the first definitive study of global carbon output this year. The findings show the world has experienced the sharpest…

CO2 reaches almost 418ppm in midst of worldwide lockdown

CO2 reaches almost 418ppm in midst of worldwide lockdown

Record levels of CO2 at  Mauna Loa This is unbelievable: despite the decline in the emissions, the Mauna Loa data  show an INCREASE in CO2 concentrations of 1 ppm PER DAY during the last  two days! Let’s hope it is a glitch in the data, because if it were to keep going like this,  you can stop worrying about the coronavirus

Carbon dioxide levels are not coming down

Carbon dioxide levels are not coming down

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) levels show no signs of coming down following the COVID-19 lockdowns. Record high CO₂ levels were reached at Mauna Loa, Hawaii, earlier this year and the rise appears to continue. The image shows average daily levels up to early April, 2020. The highest annual CO₂ levels are typically reached in May, so it may take another month or so before the seasonal peak is reached. More on Copernicus’ greenhouse data fraud

More on Copernicus’ greenhouse data fraud

ALERT: Copernicus are  manipulating data to cover  up the true situation? I have been unable to monitor events in the Arctic recently but Margo has done a very important analysis and shows that the data is completely different from what was there at the end of 2019 before they shut off the data for both CO2 and CH4 (and, interestingly, none of their other data. Is there something up that they are trying to cover up? REFERENCES This is how…
