The NZ media attacks Billy te Kahika
The NZ media hatchet job against Billy te Kahika
Advance NZ’s Billy Te Kahika left unpaid bills and failed business ventures before embarking on his political career, a Stuff Circuit investigation has found.
Te Kahika formed his New Zealand Public Party (NZPP) in June and amalgamated with former National MP Jami Lee Ross’ Advance NZ to contest the election.
Advance NZ and Te Kahika, as co-leader and candidate for Te Tai Tokerau, have campaigned on a platform of honesty, transparency, and accountability.
But a Stuff Circuit documentary, False Profit, has found multiple instances of Te Kahika failing to pay what he promised people, alongside concerns about his wider business dealings and claims he has made about his employment history.
