‘Treason If True’: Trump Lashes Out At Gen Milley Over Claims Of China Dealings “Behind The President’s Back”

14 September, 2021

Update (1906ET): President Trump has responded to claims that Milley had a back-channel with his Chinese counterparts and would warn them of any impending attacks.

If the story of “Dumbass” General Mark Milley…is true, then I assume he would be tried for TREASON in that he would have been dealing with his Chinese counterpart behind the President’s back and telling China that he would be giving them notification “of an attack.”” wrote Trump in a statement.

That said, Trump also said that “The good news is that the story is Fake News concocted by a weak and ineffective General together with two authors who I refused to give an interview to because they write fiction, not fact. Actions should be taken immediately against Milley, and better generals in our Military, of which we have many, should get involved so that another Afghanistan disaster never happens again.

“For the record, I never even thought of attacking China – and China knows that,” Trump continued.

Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley – who just facilitated the transfer of billions of dollars of US military hardware to America’s enemies during the botched Afghanistan pullout – engaged in a ‘top-secret’ mission to undermine President Trump’s ability to order military strikes or launch nuclear weapons following the Jan.6 Capitol riot, according to a new book by Bob Woodword and the Washington Post‘s Robert Costa.

Milley’s treasonous effort allegedly stemmed out of fears that Trump could ‘go rogue,’ according to CNN.

“You never know what a president’s trigger point is,” said Milley – who just separated an entire family of Afghan civilians from their mortal coils in a haphazard drone strike.

Milley took extraordinary action, and called a secret meeting in his Pentagon office on January 8 to review the process for military action, including launching nuclear weapons. Speaking to senior military officials in charge of the National Military Command Center, the Pentagon’s war room, Milley instructed them not to take orders from anyone unless he was involved. -CNN

“No matter what you are told, you do the procedure. You do the process. And I’m part of that procedure,” said Milley, unconstitutionally, before going around the room and ‘looking each officer in the eye, asking them to verbally confirm they understood.’

Milley considered it an oath,” wrote the authors.

Meanwhile, Milley also had two ‘back-channel phone calls’ with China’s top general in the waning days of the Trump administration.

Woodward and Costa also write that ‘some might contend that Milley had overstepped his authority and taken extraordinary power for himself,’ but he believed his actions were ‘a good faith precaution to ensure there was no historic rupture in the international order, no accidental war with China or others, and no use of nuclear weapons.’

What’s more, Milley reportedly told China he’d warn them if the United States was going to attack!

“General Li, you and I have known each other for now five years. If we’re going to attack, I’m going to call you ahead of time. It’s not going to be a surprise.”

The book also claims that Trump signed a military order after he lost the 2020 election to pull the US military out of Afghanistan by January 15, 2021 – days before he left the White House. The memo, drafted by ‘two Trump loyalists,’ was reportedly nullified, “but Milley could not forget that Trump had done an end run around his top military advisers,” and “felt no absolute certainty that the military could control or trust Trump and believed it was his job as the senior military officer to think the unthinkable and take any and all necessary precautions” according to the book.

Milley’s actions against a sitting president have sparked outrage and calls for his ouster.

Perhaps if Trump runs (and wins) in 2024, he’ll surround himself with less treasonous advisers.

Book: US Army General Told China in Secret Phone Call He Would Give the CCP Advance Warning if US Was Ever Going to Attack

According to a new book “Peril” written by Bob Woodward, Mark Milley, the Joint Chiefs chairman, told China in a secret phone call that he would give advance warning if the US was ever going to attack.

“In a pair of secret phone calls, Gen. Mark A. Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, assured his Chinese counterpart, Gen. Li Zuocheng of the PLA, that the U.S. would not strike, according to the new book written by Washington Post associate editor Bob Woodward and national political editor Robert Costa.

One call took place on Oct 30, 2020, four days before the election that unseated President Trump, and the other on Jan. 8, 2021, two days after the Capitol siege carried out by his supporters in a quest to cancel the vote.

The first call was prompted by Milley’s review of intelligence suggesting the Chinese believed the United States was preparing to attack.

“General Li, I want to assure you that the American government is stable and everything is going to be okay,” Milley told him. “We are not going to attack or conduct any kinetic operations against you.”

In the book’s account, Milley went so far as to pledge he would alert his counterpart in the event of a US attack, stressing the rapport they’d established through a backchannel.

“General Li, you and I have known each other for now five years. If we’re going to attack, I’m going to call you ahead of time. It’s not going to be a surprise.”

On January 8, 2021, the same day Milley reportedly spoke to China in a secret phone call, CNN ran a story claiming Pelosi had gotten assurances from Milley there are safeguards in place in the event President Trump wants to launch a nuclear weapon.

“This morning, I spoke to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley to discuss available precautions for preventing an unstable president from initiating military hostilities or accessing the launch codes and ordering a nuclear strike,” Pelosi wrote in a letter. “The situation of this unhinged President could not be more dangerous, and we must do everything that we can to protect the American people from his unbalanced assault on our country and our democracy.”

After speaking with Milley Friday, Pelosi told her caucus that she has gotten assurances there are safeguards in place in the event Trump wants to launch a nuclear weapon, according to multiple sources on a caucus call.

“Speaker Pelosi initiated a call with the Chairman. He answered her questions regarding the process of nuclear command authority,” Colonel Dave Butler said in a statement.

From January 8, 2021:

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) in a Tuesday letter called on President Biden to fire Gen. Milley over what he said was the “contemplation” of a leak of classified information to China.

Rubio also criticized Milley for undermining former President Trump with reported communications to China.

“I write with grave concern regarding recent reporting that General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, worked to actively undermine the sitting Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces and contemplated a treasonous leak of classified information to the Chinese Communist Party in advance of a potential armed conflict with the People’s Republic of China (PRC),” Rubio’s letter said.

“These actions by General Milley demonstrate a clear lack of sound judgement, and I urge you to dismiss him immediately,” he added.
